Dubai Ski Dome is situated in The Mall of the Emirates in the Al Barsha district of Dubai. It is the second largest Mall in the Middle East being some 2.4 million sq/ft in size. It is the only Ski “resort” in the Middle East. All product endured rigorous testing to ensure that they would be compatible with the extreme low temperatures required to keep the snow good for skiing. FSi Ltd Pyrocoustic Intumescent Sealant was used extensively throughout the Ski Dome.

It is a 200 Acre development to house almost any media based business along with retail outlets, leisure facilities and office space. It includes BBC, University of Salford and ITV as well as the Oasis Academy. FSi Ltd products were used throughout the various buildings to protect the means of escape and compartmentalisation of the development.

In 2009 FSi Ltd were invited to become a founder member of the new 1880 club at Leicester Tigers – The most successful English Premiership Rugby Union Club. FSi Ltd worked closely with Tigers and the associated contractor to ensure the correct product was installed to satisfy the requirements of Building Regulations for public areas. A vast amount of the products are also on show in the public areas throughout the CAT stand.

Blackfriars station is a central London underground and overhead rail complex. Its platforms span the River Thames a short distance downstream from Blackfriars Bridge. These stations feed the “Tube” network as well as major lines to the over land train network. FSi Ltd products have achieved LUL (London Underground) approval for fire resistance, smoke and toxicity, allowing the use of these products extensively throughout the tunnel network.

Construction of this property started in 2012 and lasted for 2 years. The Tower is now used for the multi purpose, offering facilities such of offices, parking and garages.

Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world, it is key to ensure continued support on their projects. FSi Ltd were approached to provide a product to seal new and existing service penetrations in walls and floors up to 120 minutes fire resistance. This has been achieved through the installation of FSi Ltd products by Mitie Fire providing full compartmentalization. Mitie, BAA and Firestopit have a long working relationship throughout the Heathrow Airport complex, which requires careful planning and installation decisions to ensure the correct products are used.

World One is a residential skyscraper in Mumbai. The project has cost US$310 million, and will be completed by 2014. It will have the world’s second tallest residential tower. It will be rated as Leed Gold Certified building by the Green Building Council.

Headway Chemicals based in Pune had presented Pyrocoustic Sealant to seal head of wall joints and service penetrations on this prestigious project. The extensive testing and certification held on the product has provided the important capability required including the 2 hour fire resistance, making the building safe.
